Volunteers enable OCPRD to provide high-quality youth athletic programs that the people of Oconee County have come to expect. You can make a difference in our community by volunteering your time on the field.

Coaching Requirements

All coaches must complete the following: 

1. Register as a Volunteer Coach online through Community Pass

2. Complete and pass an online background screening

3. Complete free online CDC concussion training

4. Review and adhere to the OCPRD Concussion Policy                                                             

5. Review and adhere to the OCPRD Code of Conduct

6. Complete the NYSCA Training (Attend One)

  • Wednesday, February 18 at 6 p.m. at OVP
  • Wednesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. at OVP

7. Youth Soccer Rules Clinic:

  • Wednesday, March 4 at 6 p.m.

8. Volunteer Coach Clinic: 

  • Little Kickers, U6, U10: Thursday, February 26 at 6 p.m. at Oconee Veterans Park
  • U8, U12-U15: Thursday, February 26 at 7:15 p.m. at Oconee Veterans Park

8. Complete online USA Football Certification (Football coaches only)

9. Complete online Darkness-to-Light (first-year Cheerleading coaches only)

Youth Soccer Coach Commitment


Lil' Kickers Soccer

  • One, one-hour activity per week
  • Serve as referee during games
  • Five-game regular season
  • No postseason

U6-U8 Leagues

  • Two, one-hour activities per week
  • Serve as referee during games
  • Eight-game regular season
  • No postseason

U10-U15 Leagues

  • Practice length depends on age group
  • Certified referees for games
  • Seven-game regular season
  • Postseason jamboree OR tournament
