2025 Summer Sports Camp Frequently Asked Questions

We partner with qualified and licensed coaches for the best camp experience. Each camp focuses on sport-specific fundamentals, provides situational practices, and opportunities for gameplay. All camps have limited enrollment.

Registration for Oconee County residents begins Monday, April 14th at 8 a.m. Registration for non-Oconee County residents begins Monday, April 28th. Registration is online only. Registration deadline is 7 days in advance of the camp start date.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SPORTS CAMP T-SHIRT, PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED 7 DAYS IN ADVANCE.

June 23-27 Camps

Beginner Mountain Bike Camp
Campers will meet at Heritage Park and must bring their own bikes. All bikes must be in good working order before bringing to camp. All bikes must be in good working order before bringing to camp. Please make sure bike is functioning and tires are pumped up. There is no place for overnight bike storage so bikes must be transported to and from camp each day.

Campers should wear athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes. Campers must have a way to carry water on their bike either via a hydration pack or bottle cage and water bottle. Campers must bring a sack lunch. HELMETS REQUIRED

Days: Monday-Thursday
Times: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Beginner Basketball Camp (Evening Hours)
Camp will be held in the Herman C. Michael Park Gymnasium. Parents should walk campers into the lobby to check in with staff. Campers should wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. Campers may bring a water bottle labeled with their name. Restrooms and water fountains are available in the HCM lobby.

Times: 6-7:15 p.m.
Dates: June 23-26, 2025
Location: HCM Gymnasium
Fee: In County $80; Out of County $160

NEW!!-Pioneer Camp (Evening Hours)
Lead by Jody Rice, Executive Director of Wild Rice Adventures and the same team behind our popular Wilderness Camp. Campers will explore the skills of archery and bushcraft to include building snares, using throwing sticks, various forms of lashings, and constructing and using their own atlatl. Campers should wear comfortable clothing, sneakers/hiking boots, and bring a snack and water bottle.

Times: 5:30-8:30 p.m.
