MACORTS has prepared the DRAFT 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan which is a long range transportation plan that assesses the existing transportation network, updates goals, objectives, and transportation priorities for the MPO region, and integrates community input. This update will result in both a prioritized, cost constrained list of projects that will be implemented over the next twenty years as well as an updated Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
MACORTS will be hosting three open-house style meetings to give the public an opportunity to review the prioritized, cost constrained list of projects and updated Metropolitan Transportation Plan. The public is invited to stop by one of the meetings to learn more about the prioritized projects and updated transportation plan as well as provide feedback. The same content will be provided at each open house.

- Oconee County Public Meeting - August 20, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Oconee Community Center (Community Room) at Oconee Veteran’s Park, 3500 Hog Mountain Rd, Watkinsville, GA 30677
All meeting materials will be also accessible through the project webpage, where you can access draft documents available for review and provide comments during the 30-day public comment period from August 14 and September 13, 2024.
The planning process will extend through the Fall, with final adoption anticipated by October 7, 2024.
