Due to the winter weather forecast, Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department will be making the following changes to our operations:

Saturday, January 24:

  • All Youth Basketball Practices are CANCELED. The youth basketball games scheduled for the morning of January 24 are still on as scheduled. All fields will be closed through the weekend.
  • The Community Center and Fitness Center at Oconee Veterans Park will be open 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • The OVP Dog Park will be open 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Sunday, January 25:

  • All Adult and Intramural Basketball games are CANCELED.
  • All OCPRD athletic fields, along with the Community Center and Dog Park at Oconee Veterans Park, will remain CLOSED.

Monday, January 26:

  • We anticipate a delayed opening of the Community Center and Brannen Gymnasium as conditions allow. Updates to operating schedules will be posted to social media, our website, and communicated to Fitness members via email.

Any patrons visiting parks should do so with caution, as paved walking paths and parking lots will remain untreated for ice.

Tall Socks Tennis will contact participants directly with updates to their program.
